CSU Student Sustainable Farm
About the SSF at CSU-
Our mission as the Student Sustainable Farm is to provide a welcoming student organization that is dedicated to bringing innovative and fun agricultural projects to CSU students; enriching their academic experience and connecting them to the greater Fort Collins community. We work with at-risk children through Campus Corps, educating youth about sustainable agriculture and providing them with a safe and inspiring environment to spend their weekly community service hours. We also host many amazing volunteers to help with seeding, harvesting, and market on a weekly basis during the growing season. We believe that a true agricultural experience encompasses precious ecosystems, wildlife, soil fertility, organic growing practices and the health of our future generations.

The Student Farm is inspired by volunteers and the local community. We believe community outreach and support is our biggest asset. We are privileged to host Campus Corps on a weekly basis! These awesome volunteers help us with seeding, harvesting, weeding and much more! This past week, Campus Corps helped us seed eggplant, tomatoes, basil, and peppers for the Fort Collins Food Co Op Plant sale. The Co Op will be selling these plants in May.
After an inspirational meeting discussing plans for the SSF and Horticulture CSA, we have come to a conclusion about the 2014 growing season. The Horticulture's CSA pick-up and our market will be at the same location and the same time throughout the season. The market and pickup will be located on 630 West Lake Street at the PERC, Thursdays from 4-7 pm.
